AIADMK worker killed

Chennai, Apr 5 (UNI) An AIADMK worker who made derogatory remarks against DMK President M Karunanidhi at a public meeting recently was killed allegedly by a DMK worker at suburban Erukkancherry.

Police said Ravishankar (36), a hardcore AIADMK volunteer strongly condemned Mr Karunandihi at the public meeting enraging DMK cadre Jayakandan.

A few days later the DMK worker confronted Ravishankar over the issue. Following a wordy duel, Jayakandan attacked Ravishankar with an iron pipe.

The AIADMK worker, who suffered severe injuries was admitted to the Government Hospital. However, he died yesterday, police said.
