250 huts gutted in Geeta Colony
New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) More than 250 huts were burnt when a fire raged through the Geeta Colony hutments in East Delhi this evening.
The fire, which started at 1915 hrs, was brought under control in little more than an hour, according to the fire brigade.
The fire took place adjacent to the April 3 blaze in which six people were killed in Geeta Colony next to the yamuna bridge.
Thirty tenders were sent to douse the flames, which fire brigade sources described as 'medium'. However no one was injured in the fire.
The police said investigations were on to ascertain the cause.
