US jury finds September 11 conspirator may be executed

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Apr 3 (Reuters) A federal jury on Monday found September 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui eligible for the death penalty and a second phase of the trial will be held to determine if he is executed.

The 12-person jury found that Moussaoui lied to the FBI following his arrest three weeks before the September 11 attacks and the lies led to deaths in the hijacked airliner attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
