2 UNLF cadres apprehended

Imphal, Apr 4: Two hardcore cadres of United National Liberation Front (UNLF) were apprehended by 33rd Assam Rifles (AR) at Thoubal district of Manipur in the past 24 hours.

In another raid the 34th AR seized five truckload of timber transported illegally from the same district.

Meanwhile, the All Manipur Anti Drug Association, which launched tirade against abuse of drugs and liquor, said it successfully closed down many illegal liquor shops and took task on about 46 people for abuse drugs.

Manipur is a dry state and the many women organisations have been active in checking sale of liquor.
