TDP totally neglected farmers' welfare: Cong

Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which had ''totally neglected'' the farm sector during its rule, had no moral right to criticise the ''Ryuthu Chaitnaya'' campaign undertaken by the Congress regime, Party Spokesman Thulasi Reddy and Pradesh Congress Kisan Cell Chairman Kodanda Reddy maintained today.

The high incidence of suicides witnessed during the previous Chandrababu Naidu regime had been completely arrested by the ''farmer-friendly'' Congress regime, they told a press conference here.

The Rajasekhara Reddy Government implemented 101 recommendations of the commission headed by Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Jyati Ghosh and 30 recommendations of the Ramachanna Reddy Commission were under process by the government, they added.
