Suzuki to enter into scooter market
Ludhiana, Apr 4 (UNI) Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd will soon enter the scooter market segment in India considering the high demand for scooters in the country.
Disclosing this to media persons after inagurating the company's second showroom in the country here today, Managing Director Satya Sheel said in addition to eyeing the scooter market, the future plans of the company was to launch high quality motorcycles for every segment of society. Presently the company has rolled out two models- Heat (120 cc) and Zeus in India.
He said that after making an assessment of the road network in the country, the company would come out with motorcycles that are ''reasonably priced''.
Refering to the launching of the showroom here, he said that Punjab was one of the regions that the company would be concentrating on as the two wheeler density was high in this part of the country.
The company will soon expand its dealer network by appointing 40 odd dealers next month.
