Rrisoner dies of ailment

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 4 (UNI) A remand prisoner undergoing treatment at the Government Headquaters Hospital here for an ailment died this morning.

Police said Kothandaraman (49) of Thanjavur District was lodged in the Central Jail here in connection with a theft case.

He underwent an operation for appendicitis recently. However, he still suffered from stomach pain and was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
