PSI, HC suspended for dereliction of duty

Godhra, Apr 4 (UNI) Panchmahals District Superintendent of Police J K Bhatt today suspended Sub-Inspector J N Patel and Head Constable Jay Singh of Goghambha police station for derelection of duty.

Mr Bhatt told UNI they were specifically told to carry out night patrolling, particularly in certain notorious areas, to check frequent roadside robbery, but they did not heed.

One local businessman Naresh Advani was robbed off his motorcycle, mobile phone and about Rs 2,000 in cash on a highway last night, which could have been avoided, said Mr Bhatt.
