Pandit deputation calls on Chief Secretary

Jammu, Apr 4 (UNI) A deputation of Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK) led by its President, M L Bhat called on the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Vijay Bakaya here today.

Mr Bhat apprised the government about the presence of 64 locally displaced Kashmiri Pandit families at various places in Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag and Pulwama.

He demanded financial assistance for these migrant families till they settled permanently. He also demanded regularisation of 17 Kashmiri Pandit youth already appointed as Class-IV employees in Revenue Department.

Bakaya assured that genuine demands would be looked into. Relief Commissioner Jammu K Mohindra Singh was also present.
