The MphasiS Board met in Delhi to-day

Bangalore, Apr 4: The Board complimented the MphasiS management team on building a world class organization that has attracted the interest of the world's second largest IT Services company. The Board acknowledged that partnership with a leading company like EDS will enable MphasiS to broaden its offering to its customers and also provide enhanced prospects to the employees. The Board looks forward to the management continuing to maintain the tradition of the highest standards of customer service and delivery.

Following a discussion, the Board resolved as follows:

"Resolved that the Board of MphasiS has taken note of the offer from EDS and sees it as a positive endorsement of the company's strengths and welcomes EDS' interest. The Board will support fully whatever action shareholders take with respect to this offer."

Speaking on behalf of the Management, Jerry Rao Chairman and CEO of MphasiS said "We are supportive of this transaction and look forward to its successful closure. We are very excited about the opportunities for growth and the potential for enhancing our customer offering." Setting at rest speculative stories, Rao added "I intend to live in India and look forward to continuing to run MphasiS."
