Maoists call Chakka Jam
Jehanabad, Apr 04 (UNI) The CPI (Maoist) has called for 'Chakka Jam' here tomorrow to protest the recent arrest of their leaders, including commander of its Magadh Zone Guddu Sharma alias Arjun and Patna rural district area commander Brinda Singh, in the state capital.
In a press release today, secretary of Barabar area committee of CPI (Maoist), transporters have been asked to keep their vehicles off the roads tomorrow failing which they might be dealt with sternly by the organisation.
''The government would have to pay the price of its misadventure of arresting our revolutionary leaders with the help of informers and subsequently subjecting them to third degree in police custody at an undisclosed place,'' the release added.
Meanwhile, in view of the Maoist threats, all police stations in the twin districts of Jehanabad and Arwal have been put on high alert.
Jehanabad SP B S Meena has issued instructions to all officers-in-charge of police stations in both the districts to maintain utmost caution.
They have been asked to ensure normalcy in the districts, Mr Meena added.
