Man rapes daughter-in-law, arrested

Mumbai, Apr 4 (UNI) A 21-yr-old woman has registered a case against her father-in-law of allegedly raping her several times over the past a few days, in the Gowandi Eastern suburb here.

Police today said the accused, Shrimant Pundalik Dudhal (45), was arrested after the victim filed the complaint yesterday.

The woman, in her complaint, said after her husband went out of station, Shrimat raped her on several occasions between, March 29 and April 3, and threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke about it to anyone, police said.

However, when her husband returned home yesterday, she told him about it following which they both filed a complaint against the culprit, added police.

Police said the investigation is on.
