Lok Sabha session from May 10 formally announced
New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) The second part of seventh session of the 14th Lok Sabha will commence on May 10, it was formally announced today.
The session is likely to conclude on May 23, the Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a press note.
Several legislative business, which have been cleared by the Cabinet, and a Bill to redefine the office of profit would be taken up during the session.
The decision to reconvene the Budget session of Parliament was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) on March 30.
Since the first leg of the Budget session, which was adjourned sine die on March 22, had not been prorogued, the presiding officers of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha could reconvene the two Houses without the need for a Presidential notification.
