Patna, Apr 4 (UNI) RJD supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today questioned the Bihar government proposal for according special status to the state and alleged it lacked vision to work for the allround development of the state.

Mr Prasad told newspersons here today his party will not support Nitish government on the proposal as the RJD itself had got declared Bihar as a backward state.

Ironically RJD during the day had supported the proposal moved by the government in the state assembly to accord special status to the state. Party's senior members had participated in the related special debate on the floor of the Lower house and had given speeches in which they had blamed lack of will power among the political parties for the sorry state of affairs here.

He said the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar had promised to bring prosperity in Bihar, however it failed to keept its assurances.

Mr Prasad alleged that the Nitish government lacked vision and announced the construction of small bridges under Chief Ministers scheme without making any financial provision. Similarly 15 additional districts had been announced to be covered under employment gurantee scheme without any financial provision, he added.
