Kirby Building Systems announces new plant at Haridwar

Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) Alghanim Industries, Kuwait-based company of Kirby Building Systems India, pioneers of quality pre-engineered steel building solutions, today announced the setting up of its state-of-art production plant at Haridwar in Uttaranchal.

The Haridwar plant of the Kirby, the second in India, will be inaugurated on April 6, 2006.

Kirby's 35,000 sq.m manufacturing plant in Haridwar will produce 60,000 MT of pre-engineered steel buildings and built at an investment of over USD 20 million. With this launch, Kirby's total capacity will grow to 135,000 MT, as its Plant in Medak District, Andhra Pradesh, built with an investment of USD 30 million has a capacity of 75,000 MT, a release from the company said here today.

Commenting on the expansion plans, Mr Omar Kutayba Alghanim, CEO Alghanim Industries, Kuwait said, ''India has captured the attention of the world. For us it has always been a high priority and potential region. We have been focused on building our base here right from the beginning and the present investments further demonstrate our commitment to our operations in India. We look forward to more such initiatives to expand and consolidate our leadership,'' he added.
