Helpline on VAT becomes operational in Surat

Surat, Apr 4 (UNI) Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry today started a helpline to provide information on value added tax (VAT) to the trading community.

The helpline will be operational from 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs everyday till April 8.

District Collector Vatsala Vasudev visited the Chamber today and appreciated the initiative to open a helpline for the businessmen.

The Chamber will also conduct an 'open house' to provide information on VAT from April 5 to 8, between 1700 hrs and 1800 hrs.

It has also formed special programmes which will be telecast on local television channels from April 4 to 8.
