Father, son killed in lightning strike

Imphal, Apr 4: A man and his two-year-old son were killed when lightning struck their floating house at Loktak lake in Manipur's Bishenpur district.

Police here said today that a thunderstorm had hit them last night. While the child and Oinam Kumar, a fisherman by profession, were killed on the spot, his wife sustained serious burn injuries.

There are large numbers of floating houses at Loktak lake where fishermen dwell.

Several houses were also damaged in diffrent prts of the state during storms.
