New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) F-Secure, providers of antivirus, antispam and antispyware solutions to the internet and mobile network, today announced expansion of its operations in India.
''Our key approach is very different from others. We sell subscriptions instead of licences. We seek to work with local providers and our focus is on broadband providers,'' F-Secure President and CEO Risto Siilasmaa said.
With 85 ISP partners in 23 countries and 13 offices worldwide, the company will offer its services primarily through local internet service providers and mobile services, unlike the yearly license based models provided by other antivirus software providers.
''India, being a fast growing economy, has become the most sought after destination of international software companies. Our main aim behind entering the Indian market is to provide high quality, reliable and affordable data security services,'' he added.
F-Secure, Head of Sales and Operations (India) Paul Dinesh Simon said the company is approaching major broadband service providers and would soon announce other major developments.
The company has its headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, with offices in France, Germany, Sweden, Japan and the United Kingdom.
