Del Piero fails in fitness fight for Arsenal tie

MILAN, Apr 4 (Reuters) Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero has failed in his bid to be fit for tomorrow's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal.

Juventus coach Fabio Capello told a news conference in Turin that Del Piero had been able to train today but had not fully recovered from the thigh injury which kept him out of the first-leg, won 2-0 by Arsenal.

Del Piero's absence means Capello will almost certainly field Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Trezeguet as his two strikers.

Juve have Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved back from suspension and will be without French defender Jonathan Zebina, Italy winger Mauro Camoranesi and former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira who are suspended for the game at the Delle Alpi stadium.
