Court refuses bail to bank officer

Patna, Apr 4 (UNI) Special CBI Court here today rejected the regular bail petition of a bank officer now languishing in jail facing charges of corruption.

After hearing both sides Judge Jawahar Prasad Ratnesh refused to grant bail to a probationary officer, S Chandra Bhan of Bank of Baroda, Bhadohi Branch, in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the charges, accused Mr Bhan had appeared in an examination of staff selection commission at Ranchi impersonating one Arbind Kumar in the year 1996. Arbind Kumar was selected in the said exmination and appointed as a clerk in Animal Husbandry Department, Ranchi. The case was registred in the year 2001.
