Cong MLA denies links with naxals

Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) Congress MLA J Krishna Rao has denied any link with two persons from whom Rs 50 lakh, being taken to naxals, was seized near the Nallamalla Forest Area in Mahbubnagar District yesterday.

Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party Office here today, he clarified he had nothing to do with the incident except that his surname was similar to the one of those arrested.

''I don't have any links with any of them'', he asserted The Mahbubnagar police had seized Rs 50 lakh and 200 gelatin sticks meant to be handed over to the naxals from two employees of a construction firm involved in the Kulwakurthy Lift Irrigation Project.
