Cong launches yatra, this time to attract lawyers
Lucknow, Apr 4: Uttar Pradesh Congress today launched a "save democracy" yatra to propagate the policies of the UPA government at the Centre and to inform people about the ''misrule'' of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in the state.
The latest Yatra by the UP Congress -- this time led by the party's legal cell -- would cover all the 70 districts of the state and hold demonstrations at all district collectorates to interact with lawyers.
Earlier too, the Congress had launched a series of low profile yatras against the Mulayam Singh Yadav government.
Addressing the launch of the yatra, UPCC president Salman Khurshid said the month-long event would help uproot the ''Jungle Raj'' of the Mulayam Singh government from the state.
The yatra would culminate at the UPCC headquarters here on May 13.
