Bishop emeritus Sebastian Valloppilli passes away

Thalassery, Kerala, Apr 4 (UNI) Thalassery Bishop emeritus Sebastian Valloppilli passed away at a private hospital here following prolonged illness early today.

He was 95.

Born at Pala in Kerala in 1911, Fr Sebastian Valloppilli has been with the Thalassery Diocese since 1953 and was very popular among migrant farmers of the Malabar region.

The mortal remains of the Bishop would be kept at the Thalassery church from 1400 hrs to enable the general public to pay tributes to the spiritual leader, church sources said adding the funeral will be held here on April six.
