Bina Ramani questioned in Jessica case

New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) Police today questioned socialite Bina Ramani in connection with the Jessica Lall murder case at her South Delhi residence.

Ms Ramani was visited by the sleuths of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to verify her identity, according to a senior police official.

Her passport was also impounded.

Ms Ramani, who had returned from abroad yesterday, is one of the witnesses in the case.

So far 24 people have been questioned in the April 1999 case which has been 'reopened' following public outcry over the acquittal of all the nine accused.

Meanwhile, police has requested another witness Shayan Munshi, a film actor, to come forward in helping police investigate the case.
