Bengal cabinet meeting postponed as Buddhadeb feels unwell
Kolkata, Apr 04 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee, who was on a hectic campaign trail for the coming Assembly polls, suddenly fell ill today forcing the postponement of the scheduled cabinet meeting at the state secretariat.
Announcing the cancellation of the meeting, state finance minister Asim Dasgupta informed that Mr Bhattacherjee had complained of exhaustion and expressed his inability to join the scheduled cabinet meeting at the Writers Building.
" The Chief Minister is not feeling well and is taking rest. He has also requested us to postpone the cabinet meeting," Mr Dasgupta said.
" However, there is no cause for concern," Dr Dasgupta explained while replying to inquries about the Chief Minister's health. " He is exhausted after the hectic campaign schedule and taking rest at home," he added.
