Bees make Cong workers run

Shajapur, MP, Apr 4 (UNI) Congress workers were forced to run helter-skelter by adversaries of the non-political kind when a swarm of bees launched an attack during a 'Gaon Chalo, Ghar-Ghar Chalo' (Go to Villages and Every House) campaign-related meeting organised in Sitolia village by this district's Maksi Block Congress Committee.

About 20 workers were stung in the April 2 incident.

''During the gathering at the Jharneshwar Mahadev temple, a worker flung a stone at fruit on a mango tree but the projectile struck a hive,'' said committee member and ex-sarpanch Ramesh Patidar.

The victims received medical treatment at the village. It took about three hours for normalcy to be restored and a feast, which was on schedule, got underway.
