Bahrain boat tragedy: Victim's body arrives
Kozhikode, Apr 4 (UNI) The body of a Keralite, who was among 58 drowned in a cruise ship capsize off the Bahrain coast, arrived at the Karippur International airport near here, by a Manama-Bahrain flight early today.
The mortal remains of Mohammed Majeed, 48, an accountant with Murai and Robert Construction Company, was brought from Bahrain.
His wife Naseema, sons Nadeem and Nasheed accompanied the body.
A large gathering of relatives and friends were at the airport to receive the body.
The burial would take place at his native Tikoti in the district later in the evening, family sources said.
The bodies of five other Keralites, who were among the 21 Indians killed in the tragedy on March 30, were brought to the Thiruvanthapuram and Cochin International airports yesterday.
