AP Govt should fix capacitors: TDP

Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today demanded the Andhra Pradesh government should take the responsibility of fixing capacitors and foot-valves for agriculture pumpsets.

Briefing newsmen after the extended meeting of party executives, TDP general secretary Kadiyam Srihari said it was a sad reflection of the Congress government on the problems of the farming community that it had imposed the condition of fixing of capacitors and foot-valves for farm pumpsets to be eligible for free power.

The former minister said the government itself should provide the capacitors and foot-valves as it would not only save energy but also revenue to the government.

The meeting also considered the pathetic situation into which the Poultry industry was pushed and demanded that the government take steps to revive it, he added.
