12 shuttlers to under 15-day Coaching Camp for Thomas Cup

Bangalore, Apr 4 (UNI) Commonwealth Game Bronze Medalist Chetan Anand and National Champion Anup Sridhar areamong the dozen probables selected to undergo Coaching Camp for Thomas Cup to be held in Japan from April 25.

Badminton Association of India Sources told UNI that the Indian team for the event would be selected before its departure on April 24 from here directly to Japan.

Chetan was the fourth Indian Shuttler to win a medal in the Commonwealth Games after former All England Champion Prakash Padukone, Syed Modi and P Gopi Chand. Besides India won Bronze in the Team event.

The probables were: Anup Sridhar, Chetan Anand, Rupesh Kumar, Jaseel F Ismail, Marcose Sristow, Anand Pawar, Arvind Bhatt, Nikhil Kanetkar, Sanave Thomas, V Diju, Thomas Kurian and P Kashyap.

Hadi Sugianto and Vimal Kumar will be the Coaches.
