Woman gets 12-year jail term for killing cow in Nepal
Kathmandu, Apr 2 (UNI) A woman in the eastern Sankhubasabha district of Nepal has been jailed for 12 years on the charge of killing a cow for meat.
The district judge sentenced Kripa Bhoteni, 50, of Khandbari municipality, to 12 years jail term as she was found guilty of cow slaughter.
Police had filed a case against her a few months ago.
Killing a cow is punishable only in this Hindu kingdom of the world.
Cow is also the national animal of Nepal.
