UPA leaders mull over moving HC on office of profit
Ranchi, Apr 3 (UNI) The UPA leaders in Jharkhand today met here to debate over moving High Court, on the issue of seven ruling NDA MLAs, including Chief Minister Arjun Munda, holding ''office of profit''.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA and opposition leader in the assembly Sudhir Mahto told UNI the meeting, held under chairmanship of JMM supremo and Union Coal Minister Shibu Soren, also discussed the issue of filing a petition in the court with legal experts.
They have already submited a memorandum to President A P J Abdul Kalam on the issue, he added.
The meeting was attended among others by UPA convenor and independent MLA Stephen Marandi, RJD leader Girinath Singh and Bandhu Tirki.
