Two suspected Pakistan spies held near LoC

Jammu, Apr 3: The army arrested two Pakistani youth, suspected to be spies, near the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakla in Akhnoor sector of Jammu region.

According to official sources the youth crossed over from Pakistan side and were sighted roaming about in suspicious conditions yesterday about 200 metres inside the Indian territory from LoC. Troops frist asked the youth to surrender and then they were overpowered and taken into coustody.

When questioned they revealed their indentities as Zahid (22) son of Mohammed Anwar, resident of Sahibabad and Mohammed Imran (19), son of Baba Salim, resident of Faislabad in Pakistan.

Sources said a laser pointer and a photograph of a person in combat dress were found on them.

The youth were being interrogated to get more information about their mission, the sources added.
