Top pros for Rs 10 lakh prize money DDA Golf open
New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) Top pros of the country, including defending champion Mukesh Kumar, Feroz Ali and S S P Chowrasia, will be seen in action in the Rs 10-lakh prize money DDA Open to be held at Qutab Golf course here from tomorrow.
The winner of this second edition of the DDA Open Golf will receive a cheque of Rs 1,58,200 while the runners up cheque is to the tune of Rs 1,08,700.
Apart from the trio of Mukesh, Feroz and Chowrasia, others in the race for the title are Ashok Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Jaiveer Virk, Harinder Gupta, Gurbaaz Mann.
Also participating are two-time Indian open winner Ali Sher, PGA championship of India winners Arjun Singh, Uttam Mundy, along with Digvijay Singh, Amardip Malik, Rahul Ganpathy and Rafick Ali.
Talking to newspersons here this afternoon, Mukesh Kumar hoped that he will be able to defend his title this time. ''The course looks much better and in may not returne the same card which I did last time but I think 14 or 15 under will be a good score.'' Chowrasia said, ''Qutab Golf Course has become very tough, last year it was easy course but things have changed now and it (course) is very challenging.'' Feroz Ali promised a good showing on this ''beautiful course, which is now fit to hold bigger tournament.'' The par-70 Qutab Course has undergone several changes and with number of renovations looks in excellent shape for the tournament.
