Tin slab and nickel cathode up on improved demand

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) Tin slab and nickel cathode rose on better buying support, traders at the metal exchange here said.

Brass utensils hiked by Rs 300 per quintal on lesser stock supply.

Tin slab and nickel cathode rose by Rs five and Rs four per kg respectively on increase of fresh demand.

Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy- Rs 27,500, copper utensils- Rs 24,700, brass utensils- Rs 19,800, brass cuttings- Rs 20,700, and aluminium utensils- Rs 10,100.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars- Rs 29,300, aluminium ingots- Rs 13,000, zinc slab- Rs 14,200, lead ingots- Rs 6,400, Tin slab- Rs 435 (per kg) and nickel cathode- Rs 808 (per kg).
