Three year jail for policeman in bribery case
New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) A policeman who tried to extort money from a man by threatening to frame him for murder was sentenced to three years in jail and slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 by a CBI court today.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Ram Chandra, posted at Najafgarh police station here, was caught red handed accepting Rs 10,000 from Mr Rakesh Kumar, the complainant, on October 9, 1998.
Special CBI Judge Sunil Gaur passed the judgement on completion of trial today.
