Thomas Weisel Partners launch office in India

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) Investment bank Thomas Weisel Partners has launched its wholly-owned subsidiary - Thomas Weisel International Private Limited (TWL) in India.

The office, based here, would be headed by Managing Director K V Dhillon and Director and head of research Praveen Chakravarty, a release issued here said.

The company is looking forward to support and augment its business in growth sectors in India, including technology, healthcare and consumer sectors.

''We offer a unique platform to research analysts in India to be equity analysts following growth equities, and to provide investment advice to US-based institutional investors,'' Mr Chakravarty said.

The aim of the bank is to build a strong equity research team that will provide quality and thoughtful research on growth equities in the US market.
