Telgi says he will make confessional statement on April 17
Pune, Apr 3 (UNI) Prime accused in the multicrore fake stamp-paper case, Abdul Karim Telgi, has decided to make a confessional statement on April 17 with regards to the case registered with the Bund Garden police here.
Telgi, through video conferencing with MCOCA court Judge B N Sardeshpande today, expressed his desire to make the confession. He alleged that the health certificate issued by the government-run Sassoon Hospital, where he had been admitted for chest pain, was false.
The court, meanwhile, has directed Telgi's lawyer Milind Pawar to file an application regarding his client's confessional statement on April 10. The MCOCA court judge, after recording Telgi's statement, will hand over the same to the Chief Judicial Magistrate.
