Robotics project to come up at Rai tech park

Chandigarh, Apr 3 (UNI) The Haryana government has envisaged keen interest in setting up a Robotics project at the technology park at Rai in Sonepat district.

The Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC), which is developing this park, has invited applications for projects including a robotics project for campus development of the technology park.

A spokesman of the corporation said here today the IT/ITES, robotics, nano technology, mobile computing, mobile communications, other frontier technologies, chip manufacturing, biotechnology including genetics and research and devlopment units would be set up in this technology park.

He said the corporation had invited applications from self user technology companies, anchor units and developers for planning and development of the 25 acre technology park.

They would have to utilise atleast 30 per cent of the total constructed area of the campus for its own unit, he said.

The spokesman said that the developer would have to bring an anchor unit to the satisfaction of the corporation. They would also be required to attach a copy of memorandum of understanding, joint venture or undertaking signed with the anchor unit to this effect.

He said that the selected applicants could also apply to the centre for grant of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status for their project.

The rate of allotment has been fixed at Rs 4000 per sq mt and the term of payment is 10 per cent of the cost of the land as earnest money alongwith application.

Fifteen per cent of the total cost would have to be paid within 60 days of dispatch of the letter, conveying in principle the approval of the project, while the remaining 75 per cent could be paid in five equal half-yearly installments.

He said the parameters for campus planning and development could be downloaded from their website and further details could be obtained from Chief Town Planner.

The last date for receipt of application is May one, he added.
