Parveen selected to officiate in Wimbledon
Chandigarh, Apr 3 (UNI) International Tennis Federation White Badge Parveen Kumar, a tennis coach with the Chandigarh Sports Council, is among the five Indians selected to officiate in the Wimbledon Grand Slam event in England in June-July.
Parveen has received this information from Mike Morrissey, Assistant Referee of the all England Tennis Championship.
Parveen will officiate in his first Grand Slam in England. The Chandigarh Sports Council coach has already officiated in a number important international tournaments which included Duty Free Dubai Open, ITF Men's Satellites, Futures, ITF Women Circuits, ATP Challengers, ITF Junior Circuits, Davis Cups, Federation Cup, Afro-Asian Games, Asian Games, Salem Open (Hong Kong), ASB Classic and Heineken (New Zealand). Recently, he officiated in the Bangalore Open 2006.
