Ornaments worth Rs 60 lakh missing from jewel shop

Hyderabad, Apr 03 (UNI) Some miscreants gained entry into a jewellery shop in the busy Abids area near the police station and decamped with gold ornaments worth around Rs 60 lakh.

Police said the shop owners locked up on Saturday night and left.

Today, when they opened the shop they found it was burgled. Burglars broke the rear shutters and gained entry and decamped with gold ornaments, according to police.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner A K Mohanty visited the spot and took stock of the situation. Sniffer dog squad and CLUES Scientific Team were pressed into action. Police were investigating.
