Oommen Chandy files nominations

Kottayam, Apr 3 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today filed four sets of nominations before the Pallickathode BDO V Vijayan for the ensuing assembly elections in the state.

The Chief Minister arrived at the Block Office from the Pallickathode Junction in a procession accompanied by hundreds of partymen, Before filing the nominations, Mr Chandy offered prayers at his mother's tomb at Puthuppally church and at Pampady Thirumeni's tomb at Pampady.

DCC President Anto Antony, District Panchayat President Thomas Kunnappally and several other leaders accompanied the Chief Minister.

Interestingly, the BJP Candidate Narayanan Namboothiri who came to the Block Office to file his nomination sought the blessings of the Chief Minister.
