ONGC chief conferred Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal

Jamshedpur, Apr 3 (UNI) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Chairman and Managing Dierector Subir Raha was conferred the prestigious Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal during the golden jubilee convocation ceremony of the XLRI School of Management here.

Mr Raha, who was chosen for this year's medal for his contributions towards industrial and social peace, joined the league of stalwarts like JRD Tata, Azim Premji and J N Godrej.

The award instituted four decades ago was handed over to Mr Raha by Chairman of XLRI's Board of Governors B Muthuraman at a function in Tata Auditorium last evening.

Mr Raha, who has the distinction of several prestigious national and international awards in an illustrous career spanning over 35 years, dedicated the award to his teachers and family members and also congratulated the graduating students.
