Naxal activities under check: CM
Bangalore, Apr 3: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajashekhara Reddy today claimed that naxal activities in his State were under check and the extremist Maoist groups were restricted to some pockets in thick forests areas of the State.
Speaking to newspersons after attending a meeting of the representatives of IT and Semiconductor industry here, he said the State police had managed to control naxalites. ''By and large the extremists are under control.'' Dr Reddy said Andhra Pradesh had stepped up pressure on the activists of Maoist groups by establishing better coordination with the police forces of the neighbouring States.
