N C Bajpayee is new UP CS, Bua Singh appointed DGP

Lucknow, Apr 3 (UNI) In a major administrative and police department shake up, the Uttar Pradesh government, this evening, appointed N C Bajpyee as the chief secretary, while Bua Singh was placed as the new Director General of UP Police.

Official sources said here that UP Agriculture Production Commissioner Navin Chandra Bajpayee has been appointed the State Chief Secretary. The earlier CS, Mr R Ramani has been transferred as Director General (Training).

Sources said that Principal Secretary (Labour) Anis Ansari will be the new Agriculture Production Commissioner.

Mr Ramani was made the CS last year, after earlier incumbent of the post, Neera Yadav was shifted, following indictment by the Supreme Court in a corruption case.

Meanwhile, in a similar shake up in police department DGP of PAC Bua Singh has been made the DGP of UP Police, while the earlier incumbent of the top police job Yashpal Singh has been posted as Chairman and Managing Director of UP Police Housing Corporation.

Sources said that another senior IPS official Acharya Palniwel, presently ADG (Law and Order) has been posted in similar capacity at the PAC headquarters, Lucknow, while Chairman and MD of UP Police Housing Corporation Har Amol Singh has been kept on waiting list.

The ADG (Housing and Welfare) Police Headquarters, Allahabad Padman Singh has been posted as ADG (Law and Order), while ADG (Crime) R K Tiwari will now be ADG (Housing and Welfare) Police Headqaurters, Allahabad, sources added.
