More buses between Pune, Mumbai under consideration
Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is considering introduction of more buses between Pune and Mumbai while Information Technology companies have been asked to provide transport for their employees.
This was informed by Minister of State for Home Siddharam Mhetre in the Legislative Council today.
He was making a statement in the House after Dr Neelam Gorhe (Shiv Sena) raised the issue of increasing incidents of crimes on the Pune-Mumbai expressway. An IT employee, who had hitched a hike on the expressway, was drugged to death recently.
Mr Mhetre said every Friday, there is a rush of IT employees coming to Mumbai from Pune.
