Mobile phones being smuggled to Nepal seized, one held
Siddharthnagar, Apr 3 (UNI) A team of custom department has held one person in this East Uttar Pradesh district with cellular phone sets worth Rs 3.11 lakh being allegedly smuggled to neighbouring Nepal.
Custom Department sources said here today that during a routine check at the Pakri crossing here last evening, the sleuths raided a private bus going from New Delhi to Kathmandu. The team then seized from on board the bus, cellular phone sets worth Rs 3.11 lakh being smuggled to Nepalese capital Kathmandu.
The driver of the bus has been arrested and further investigations were on, sources added.
