Mesotherapy comes to India

Bangalore, Apr 3 (UNI) IN-XS Medical Centre for Obesity introduced Mesotherapy for first time in the country, here today, to deliver safe and medially correct treatment for obesity.

Speaking after inaugurating the new treatment facility, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said changing lifestyle had led to obesity which had become a serious health related problem in the country.

He said Mesotherapy was brought to India by IN-XS Founders Dr Keerthi Patel and Dr Sangeetha Keerthi Patel after specialising in this revolutionary kind of treatment with the tutorship of Dr Jacques Le Coz in Paris, the only pupil of Dr Michel Pistor, the founder of the therapy.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Keerthi Patel said Mesotherapy was a relatively new mecical department to learn and re-conceptualise existing medical treatments for obesity, Cellulite and contour body shaping.

He said Mesotherapy was the established and approved medical line of management to treat pre-obese, Grade-I and Grade-II Obesity.

Outlining the Mesotherapy treatment, he said it targeted fat cells directly and set in a chain of bio-chemical reactions, leading to complete elimination of targeted fat. It also targeted sub-cutaneous fat and acted locally. It was the only medical treatment wherein fat cells could be removed without performing a surgery, he added.

He said the Mesotherapy ensured complete removal of fat from 50 gms to three kg in a single session and was being widely used in Europe and America as a means of delivering medications for various areas of symptomology. Since Mesotherapy was a medical speciality, it also treated other diseases apart from obesity including Carpal tunnel Syndrome, Chronic infections, bone spur tendonitis and lipoma.

The cosmetic uses of Mesotherapy were Cellulite face and neck rejuvenation, alopecia, wrinkles, scars, acene, stretch marks and sun-damaged skin.

He said Mesotherapy also had several advantages as the treatment was done on out patient basis taking only 20-30 minutes with minimally invasive procedur and the side effects were minimum.
