Maoists kill DSP in Bihar
Sasaram, Apr 3 (UNI) Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP) Akhileshwar Prasad was killed in an encounter with Maoists at Majhwalian village in Rohtas district this evening.
Police Superintendent N H Khan said here that a group of armed extremists fired indiscriminately at Mr Singh when he was going to the village under Karakat police station area in connection with a land dispute.
Mr Singh died when he was being taken to a hospital in Patna.
Four rifles and a sten gun were recovered from the spot.
Police said the situation in the village was tense but under control and additional police force had been deployed there.
Raids were on to nab the extremists, sources added.
