Lara's cover drive for MRF
Chennai, Apr 3 (UNI) When Brian Charles Lara 'drives,' the ball races to the boundary as though it's on tyres. This may just be said in jest.
But the famous West Indies cricketing icon today rolled out MRF's 'V' rated tyres for luxury cars like Mercedes S Class, Ford Mondeo and Skoda Laura, wielding the centrestage as the company's brand ambassador.
The tyres are made at MRF's latest state-of-the-art exlusive radial plant in Pondicherry, Executive Director, Marketing, Philip Eapen told newsmen at a press conference after Lara unpacked the cricket loving company's latest offering to make driving more comfortable to its loyal customers.
The tubeless tyres are qualified for speeds up to 240 kmph and have been designed with hit-traction polymer formulations. Keeping the existing and emerging India road conditions in perspective, the tyres incorporate features which the luuxry cars call for: high speed capability on highways, low noise, excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions and comfortable ride on city roads.
The tyres will be available at the state-of-the-art MRF T&S showrooms, to begin with.
