Inferno engulfs over 150 huts in Balia

Lucknow, Apr 3 (UNI) Property worth several lakhs of rupees was gutted and two people sustained burns in a major fire that reduced to ashes over 150 hutments in the Icchachaubeypurwa village of Balia district this afternoon.

Police said here the fire which occured in one the huts in the village under the Narhi police station, swept other hutments soon. Over 150 hutments were reduced to ashes within a few hours.

At least two people sustained burns in the fire and have been admitted to the hospital, police added.
